She gets along well with her foster brother Romeo and is starting to get to know her foster sister Tedd. She is getting more comfortable with her surroundings and even enjoys going outside.
It is a sad fact that many dogs aren't treated with the compassion and dignity they deserve. This is particularly relevant to smaller breeds, such as Yorkies. They are small dogs that can be easily overlooked and left behind when kids leave the house or forget to close the screen door. This could cause serious injury or even death to these tiny creatures.
Additionally, Yorkies are prone to respiratory issues and could be injured when they are exposed to sudden noises or activities. Yorkies may not be the ideal choice for families with young children. Despite this they are lovely and affectionate companions. They are also great additions to families with children who are older.
Donna gave Susie a new home despite these difficulties and Susie is now fit and content. The incident helped her rebuild her life and get over the pain caused by the unjust attack she endured on her dog. She hopes that her story can inspire others to save the puppy.

As a puppy, Suzie is a very playful puppy but she can get overexcited and bite if she is not trained properly. Suzie isn't a cuddly lap puppy but she does love to snuggle and will be your best friend. She is also shy and will be able to hide in the blankets of her foster parents when they meet new people.
While she is a affectionate puppy, she may be a bit single minded and needs to be taught to share her toys. Remember that she's an infant and can chew on anything that is in her sight.

Bringing a new dog into an established household is an exciting moment for both dogs and humans. There will be some hiccups, especially when it's time to housebreak and train your dog.
It is important to puppy-proof the entire house, even if you already have an adult Yorkie. This means placing all your dog's toys on top, putting shoes away, hiding or moving cords, etc. You could also think about using an indoor canine playpen during the first days in the house with a new pup to ease the transition and provide them with their own space. They can be a great aid with separation anxiety, as well.
Additionally, when taking your new pup on a walk, it is best to keep them on leash and not let them wander away from you. This will help them focus on you and keep them from running after other animals or wandering off. It is an excellent idea to provide your dog with a separate bed from your puppy. This will prevent them from sharing the same bed and waking up in the night.
When it comes time to interact with your new Yorkie at first, only invite family members within the immediate vicinity. A large number of people can overwhelm a dog. Friends and extended family members can introduce themselves to the pup at a later time once they have become familiar with their surroundings.
Yorkies are very affectionate and social, but they can also be high-strung. They are prone to be bored and eat their food. This can lead to destructive behavior, which is why it is crucial to channel their energy into something positive such as plenty of walks and agility training. Additionally you can teach them to use a litter box and take them on short trips to the dog park.

The story begins a year ago, right before Christmas. Dolores discovered Susie crying and suffocating at the mouth following a severe stomach upset. Blood was found in her vomit. After a few tests, it was determined that Susie had an irritated digestive tract. Despite all her efforts, she was admitted to Christmas in the emergency vet hospital.
